At Chalet Vogar, luxury means peace and a serene environment where you can unwind, escape the everyday hustle and bustle, wake up to the songs of birds, and enjoy the idyll in the heart of Triglav National Park. The chalet was renovated in 2022 using natural materials typical for the area. It is also a great starting point for hiking trips.

Chalet Vogar is located in a unique setting, free from sound and light pollution. In the evenings, you can enjoy a million-star view in the heart of Triglav National Park. It is accessible by car or via a free shuttle service during the summer months. Outside, you can relax on sun loungers or barbecue something delicious. The chalet is also a great starting point for hiking trips.
Vogar Pasture is situated in the center of Triglav National Park and is a popular destination. It is ideal for an independent day trip or as a starting point for longer tours in the surrounding area. Two stunning viewpoints nearby offer beautiful vistas over Lake Bohinj and the Lower Bohinj Mountains. One viewpoint is also a popular take-off area for paragliders. The main mountain hut, Kosijev Dom, is nearby, where you can enjoy delicious traditional mountain cuisine.

He showed us some areas we had not explored, gave us some history and was a great tour leader. We absolutley loved this area! We were able to stay in their quaint, charming chalet. It was right next to the river in the center of town. We loved the outdoor space with the picnic table and fire pit. We even saw locals bringing their cow(s) to pasture right through town. Maja and Grega were the perfect hosts, always available to help or offer advice. We hired bikes from them too.

The accommodation itself is charming, and you can tell the hosts have put a lot of care into every detail. It’s also in a great location, perfect as a base for nearby hikes and swims in the lake. Highly recommend - we easily could have stayed a week!

Lovely hosts with great communication and easy access. Not too far from the lakes and amenities, drive down lovely wooded roads and past the odd cow or two. Would love to go back!

The hosts were so kind and so helpful, the location was spectacular, and the chalet adorable and comfortable for our two families of 3. We used this chalet as our base for hiking in Triglav and it was perfectly located, both for access to the hiking trails and for access to the lake for post-hike swimming. There's a restaurant right next door, a grocery store 3-minute walk away, and the busier town of Ribcev Laz a 20-minute walk away for more restaurants/bars. The kids had an amazing time playing badminton and baseball on the lawn by the creek, and I loved sitting out on the porch in the evening with a beverage, watching one of the townsfolk walk her cow home. Do not miss the chance to stay here if you're in Stara Fuzina!
