At Chalet Vogar luxury is silence and an environment where you can calm down, get away from the everyday hustle and bustle, wake up by bird songs and enjoy the idyll in the heart of the Triglav National Park. Chalet was renovated in 2022, using natural materials typical for this environment.It’s a great starting point for hiking trips.

Chalet Vogar is located in a unique location without sound or light pollution. In the evenings you can enjoy a million star view in the heart of the Triglav National Park. It’s accessible by car, or with the use of a free shuttle in the summer months. Outside you can relax on sun beds or bbq something delicious. It’s a great starting point for hiking trips.

Vogar pasture is located in the Center of Triglav National Park and it’s a popular destination. It’s suitable for an independent trip or as a starting point for longer tours in the surroundings. There are two stunning viewpoints nearby, with beautiful views over Lake Bohinj and the Lower Bohinj Mountains. One viewpoint is also a popular take off area for paragliders. Near by is also the main mountain hut (Kosijev dom), where you can enjoy in delicious mountain food.

Stara Fuzina is the most beautiful village to stay near to Lake Bohinj - just a 15 minutes walk through a stunning meadow to the lake and the best (quieter) beaches. The chalet is cosy and well equipped with a wonderful outside area shaded from the sun where you can sit and watch the world go by. Maja and Grega are generous hosts who will provide advice if you ask it but also leave you alone. We had a magical 4 nights as a family of five with young adults who were happy to do very little whilst we got up early to hike/bike/swim. Perfectly situated and a wonderful start to our holiday in Slovenia.

This is the perfect place to explore the mountains. Very scenic and quiet. Far away from any busy areas, close enough to facilities like stores and restaurants and of course in the middle of the stunning national park.
