Bohinj valley LOOP

From bohinj to Bled and back BY BIKE

Bohinj Valley is surrounded by the towering peaks of the Julian Alps, including Mt. Triglav (2864 m) – Slovenia’s highest mountain. One of the most popular routes to climb Mt. Triglav starts from the Pokljuka Plateau. While you can’t cycle to the summit of mt. Triglav, you can explore the Pokljuka plateau by bike, discovering its stunning alpine meadows like Zajamniki and Uskovnica, as well as enchanting spruce forests. He showed us some areas we had not explored, gave us some history and was a great tour leader. We absolutley loved this area! We were able to stay in their quaint, charming chalet. It was right next to the river in the center of town. We loved the outdoor space with the picnic table and fire pit. We even saw locals bringing their cow(s) to pasture right through town.
