We find gravel biking as one of the best ways to explore new places and truly experience Slovenia and the Julian Alps. The day rides are designed in a way that you will experience the top spots of Bohinj valley, lake Bled and the Triglav National Park. On this center based tour you will be staying close to the largest lake in Slovenia; lake Bohinj in the heart of the national park. A true perfect combination for a variety of cycling in pristine nature exploring the natural and cultural attractions of the area. “Best of gravel in Bohinj valley” is one of the best tours we can offer to you so we invite you to come and have fun on your bike.
Day 1 will start with a welcome meeting, where you will get all final information and materials for your trip. If you choose to rent bikes with us, this will also be the day when we will fit the bike to your needs. We recommend to follow the day rides like we suggest, but since you will be center based, you can choose on your own what ride to do. On this day you will do our Bohinj loop ride that will get you familiar with the area and will help you to explore the valley also in the upcoming days.

experience a 2 star MICHELIN restaurant
On this day we suggest that you put your bike on the train and go for a ride in the world famous Soca valley. Just a short train ride will bring you to Most na Soci where you will start your biking towards Tolmin town. Close by is a famous Tolminka river gorge and we strongly advise to visit it. It will take you approx. 1h walking to explore the gorge so make sure your footwear will be right. After the gorge visit you will ride though picturesque villages all the way to Kobarid town. There you can visit one of the most known WW1 museums, hike to Kozjak waterfall and have a break in the town centre. If you like good food Kobarid is the place to be in Slovenia. Close by is Hisa Franko – the 2 star Michelin restaurant so you can treat yourself on the last bike ride with an amazing meal. Our food tip would be a traditional shepherds dish from the valley called “frika”. After the stop in Kobarid you ride back along the Soca river to the train station at Most na Soci and from there you return back to Bohinj valley.
