This Wednesday we decided to do some cycling on the Slovenian coastline. We have a really nice tour there where we ride along the Adriatic sea (btw.: Did you know that Slovenia has just 46 km of coast) and visit the famous towns Piran, Portoroz and also our favorite Secovlje Salina nature park where you can see the salt pans and learn how salt was harvested in the past and still is. Enjoy the video!
We got the chance to test a brand new Specialized Turbo Creo road e-bike and we chose to do the test in two countries. We started in Slovenia, rode across the border to Italy, visit Castello di Spessa where Giacomo Casanova spent some time, cycled across the famous Goriska Brda wine region, visited friends at hotel San Martin and tasted their amazing Rebula wine and finished with a beautiful ride along the emerald Soca river. 🙂
Slovenia gets more & more recognised as a country of incredible natural heritage that stuns many major athletes, as well as active tourists.
Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, having a healthy & active family, or just want to relax and do yoga in the heart of pure nature, Slovenia doesn’t slack. Gaining its popularity among active tourists as the most sustainable destination in Europe, we’ve prepared for you another 9 reasons to visit this central-european hidden gem.
Sometimes we like to go and explore other Alpine valleys. This time we took a train and explored Soca valley and the famous Goriska Brda wine region. Enjoy watching the video! 🙂
This year the winter was long. Julian Alps are still covered in snow so we spent a lot of time ski touring and exploring new places. This week it was time to go biking so we decided to visit the amazing Karst region. Check out the video and you will see how we spent the day. 🙂
Slovenian Tourism organization has made a new video about cycling and mountain biking in Slovenia. We are really happy that Hike&Bike team has played a very active role in the video. Do you like it?
