Through the thousands of years the river Mostnica has carved a 2km long canyon that ends under the Devils bridge right on the outskirts of the Stara Fuzina village in our only national park in Slovenia. Start your hike in the Stara Fuzina village in the centre of Slovenia’s Triglav National Park, explore the Mostnica gorge and walk all the way to picturesque Voje valley and visit the beautiful Mostnica waterfall. There are two mountain huts in Voje valley so you don’t have to bring much food and snacks on this tour. Try some of the typical mountain meals and get in touch with the locals.

Note: There is a small entrance fee that you pay at the entrance to the Mostnica gorge. Mountain huts don’t accept cash so make sure to have some with if you want to taste that traditional mountain stews or fresh baked Strudl.

With this hike you will combine walk around the largest permanent lake and visit of the most popular waterfall in Slovenia’s Triglav National Park. Start along the north shore of the lake all the way to Ukanc village and then continue all the way to the waterfall viewpoint. Return back to the village the same way you came, walk through the village passing the campsite and continue you trip on the footpath next to the road on the south side of the lake.
